Juventus striker David Lanzafame could be set to move to Upton Park in the summer, however the Hammers face stern competition from Italian side Palermo for the star.
The striker was being lined up for a loan move to West Ham, and it looked like Italian director Gianluca Nani had secured a loan deal for the star.
However Palermo are now reportedly requesting that Lanzafame is included in part of the deal which will take Amauri to the Stadio Olimpico.
Lanzafame is rated as one of the most exciting prospects for the future in Italy, and represented the national under-21 side in February. The striker is also expected to be recruited into the Italian Olympic side that will compete in the Beijing Olympics in the summer.
Lanzafame told Sky Italia “I think both Palermo and West Ham could be for me two positive experiences, they are two important places, but the decision hasn’t been taken yet”.
The decision could now be down to which club Brazlian striker Amauri chooses to move to in the summer.
