West Ham go after Sanson

According to a recent report from France Football, West Ham United are set to reignite their interest in trying to sign Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson once the summer transfer window opens. The Hammers, who have done notable business in the past with the French club, are in the midst of a relegation battle as the Premier League prepares to open its doors once again.

Depending on when the window actually ends up opening, you’d have to imagine that the success of this move will live and die based on their status as a top flight club.

They’ve certainly got the finances behind them to make something like this happen, but they need to start proving that they are capable of becoming a consistent top half team.

Wolves were also interested in trying to sign Sanson last summer, but as of this writing, it seems as if West Ham are going to be the main club in the running.
