West Ham go after Toney?

According to a recent report from Eurosport, West Ham United could make Brentford forward Ivan Toney one of their main transfer targets this summer.

Toney has been one of the shining lights for Brentford so far this season as the Bees have made yet another push for promotion to the Premier League. Whether or not they can officially ascend to those heights is a different matter altogether, but one thing is for sure – Toney is going to be a man in demand during the upcoming transfer window.

The Hammers have been strong in many areas this season but the big issue for them has been not having a natural centre-forward up top. There’s no guarantee that Toney can fill the void, especially if they break into Europe, but David Moyes clearly sees something in him and could be given significant funds to invest with if West Ham can maintain their current run of form.
