Premier League outfit West Ham have reportedly had an offer turned down for Saint Etienne full-back Kevin Malcuit.
The Hammers appear keen on bringing the 25-year-old to Boleyn Ground at the earliest opportunity and they’ve got money to spend after cashing in on Dimitri Payet.
But, even though they have submitted a very good proposal according to L’Equipe, Saint Etienne ultimately decided to reject.
There is a chance that the Hammers will return with an improved bid in the final days of the January transfer window, so this is one story worth keeping an eye on.
Malcuit has already had his share of transfers having so far represented Monaco, Vannes, Frejus St-Raphael, Niort and Saint Etienne.
The right-sided defender has done really well since joining les Verts and he already has 3 assists in 16 Ligue 1 outings this season, while he also made five appearances in the Europa League.
