Sky Sports understands that West Ham United have made an enquiry to Swansea City about forward Andre Ayew.
The Hammers are on the lookout for a new forward as they prepare for a season in the Europa League and have added Ayew to their potential list of targets.
However, the South Wales outfit are unlikely to let the Ghana international go without a fight with fellow Swans’ striker Bafetimbi Gomis closing in on a switch to Marseile.
Ayew himself moved to the Liberty Stadium from Marseille just last summer and racked up thirty-five appearances in all competitions, scoring twelve goals.
During his time in France he played over two hundred times, a tally that includes loan spells with both Lorient and Arles-Avignon.
Internationally, he has been capped sixty-seven times for Ghana, scoring eleven times, with three of those caps coming at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
