West Ham in for Jordan Ayew

West Ham United are eyeing a move for Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew, according to the Mail Online.

The Hammers, who play their first competitive match at their new stadium on Thursday evening, are looking to bring in reinforcements ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign.

With Diafra Sakho set to move on, the club have drawn up a list of targets in his position with Ayew among those bening considered.

The Ghana international only moved to Villa Park twelve months ago and racked up thirty-four appearances on all competitions last season, scoring seven goals though he was unable to help the Midlands club retain their top flight status.

Prior to his move to England the twenty-four year old had a season at Lorient while he began his career with fellow French outfit Marseille.

He has also been capped thirty-seven times for his country, scoring twelve goals.
