West Ham United have lodged a £32m bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the Express.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also interested though the Hammers are keen to steal a march on their rivals with this, their latest offer.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has placed a deadline of June 30 on the sale of the in-demand star, so the Hammers will be keen to get a deal wrapped up by then.
Since making his debut in the 2009/10 campaign, Lacazette has racked up two hundred and twenty-nine club appearances in all competitions, scoring ninety-two goals.
Twenty-one of those strikes came in Ligue One last season – a tally that was only bettered by Paris Saint Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The twenty-five year old has ten senior caps for his country but was left out of Didier Deschamps’ squad for Euro 2016.
