West Ham in for Santon

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Davide Santon, according to the Mail Online.

The full-back has fallen out of favour with the Italian giants this season, playing just nine times in the league, and could now be set to secure a move back to the Premier League.

Norwich City are also monitoring the Italy international’s situation though the Hammers are keen to steal a march on their rivals after losing Carl Jenkinson for the foreseeable future.

Santon has previously spent four years in England with Newcastle United, for whom he racked up ninety-four appearances in all competitions, scoring his one and only goal for the club in a 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic.

He has also been capped eight times for his country, though his last cap was three years ago when he played in a friendly draw with the Netherlands.
