West Ham United are in talks with captain Mark Noble over a new contract, with the captain’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.
The 33-year-old has spent his entire career so far with the Hammers, having passed through their ranks at the academy, though he had loan stints with Hull City and Ipswich Town as a teenager. To date, the midfield enforcer has represented the club on 520 occasions in all competitions, scoring 60 and providing assists for 61 goals.
Noble’s role in the team has diminished this season, with manager preferring to name Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park. As a result, Noble has started only three times in the Premier League this term.
Nonetheless, Moyes greatly values the overall influence of the captain in his squad and would very much like to keep hold of his services past this summer.
