(GSM) – West Ham United are in negotiations to sign Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo on loan, according to Sky Sports.
Hammers boss Avram Grant is keen to add an attacker to his squad before the start of the new season.
And Grant has lined-up Caicedo, who has dropped down the pecking order at City.
Caicedo played at Sporting Lisbon and Málaga last season on loan and now the Ecuador international is thought to be keen to make a switch to Upton Park in order to secure first-team football.
According to Sky, City have given Caicedo the green light to travel to London in order to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.
Caicedo could become Grant’s sixth new signing of the summer as the Hammers prepare to lock horns with Aston Villa this weekend in their Premier League opener.
