According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, West Ham United are planning to push forward with a deal that will see them sign Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite during the summer transfer window.
The Hammers were actually close to bringing him over to East London back in January, but once the Spanish giants entered the conversation, they really didn’t stand all too much of a chance.
Now, though, after his less than inspiring run at the Nou Camp, they seem ready to offload him.
The fee that has been proposed is believed to be around €20 million which, in itself, would serve as a huge sign of intent for West Ham.
There’s no guarantee of him finding success over in England, though, especially when you consider how much his confidence has probably been knocked due to the high expectations that were placed on his shoulders during his time with Barca this year.
