West Ham United are interested in signing Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (2/5, p61). It has been reported that West Ham manager David Moyes wanted to bring in a new central defender this summer and has identified the former Rangers loanee has a potential candidate.
Worrall has been on the books of Forest his entire professional club football career and is one of the best central defenders in the Championship. The 24-year-old had loan spells at Dagenham & Redbridge and Rangers earlier in his career and has now established himself as a key figure in the Reds’ team.
According to WhoScored, Worrall has scored one goal and provided one assist in 30 Championship matches for Forest the season. The 24-year-old could be tempted by a move to West Ham, as Forest are essentially an also-ran in the second tier of English football.
