London-based Premier League club West Ham United have expressed their interest in signing the Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to Sky Sports.
West Ham are looking to add more firepower to their ranks and boost their squad ahead of next Premier League season and out-of-favour Citizens’ striker has been identified as one of the top targets.
The Nigeria youngster has been used sporadically this season, featuring the total of 28 times across all competitions for City this term, and scoring seven goals.
Iheanacho has only made one start this year however as Pep Guardiola keeps focusing on Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus as his first-choice strikers.
Kelechi Iheanacho is under contract with City which runs until 2021 and he is understood to be valued at £20 million.
West Ham could use a striker to help out Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho who have both struggled with injuries this season.
The Hammers only scored 45 goals in 37 matches this season and Iheanacho could help them boost the numbers upfront.
