Premier League high flyers West Ham United are hot on the trail of Nice full-back Jeremy Pied, according to Le 10 Sport.
The former Lyon winger was converted to right-back by les Aiglons coach Claude Puel and he in turn performed at a very high level as his side climbed to fourth in the standings.
But, with his contract at Allianz Riviera due to expire at the end of the current campaign, chances are that Pied will be leaving Nice for greener pastures in the summer.
Saint Etienne and Rennes have already expressed interest in his services, but Le 10 Sport claims that West Ham are also keen and there are no doubts that the Premier League side can offer him a very good deal.
The interesting thing is that the Hammers coach Slaven Bilic converted winger Michael Antonio to right-back earlier this season and he could now sign another footballer that has gone through the same process.
