West Ham keen to keep Song

West Ham United are keen to sign midfielder Alex Song on a permanent deal, according to the Express.

The ex-Arsenal man moved to Upton Park on a temporary deal from Barcelona in the summer, and has been one of the star performers in Sam Allardyce’s side so far this season, making fifteen appearances in all competitions.

His days at the Nou Camp certainly appear to be over after failing to impress in his eighteen months with the Catalan club, but Manchester United have also been linked with a move and could rival the Hammers with a bid of their own.

West Ham drew with Swansea City at the weekend, a result which stretched their winless run to five games though the remain in the top seven, just four points off a Champions League qualification place.

They host Hull City on Sunday afternoon, and are priced at 7/10 to take all three points.
