West Ham United stopper Robert Green on Monday pulled out of England's squad for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Belarus.

Green's withdrawal means that England will have only two keepers, David James of Portsmouth and West Brom's Scott Carson, for the tricky trip to Minsk.

The Hammers number one played no part in Saturday's 5-1 hammering of Kazakhstan, with James starting the match and Carson named as the substitute goalkeeper.

England sit top of Group Six and are hoping to maintain a 100 percent winning streak against Belarus, after also beating Croatia and Andorra.
