The Hammers need a new centre-back due to the injury to Angelo Ogbonna. The defender will not play again this season due to an ACL injury, So, West Ham have identified Liverpool’s Phillips as a potential replacement and are planning to make a bid for him in the January transfer window.
Phillips got his chance at Liverpool last season due to injury problems. The 24-year-old made 15 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
