West Ham are preparing to submit a £30 million offer for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to Sky Sports.
The 20-year-old spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Southampton, scoring nine goals along with one assist in 38 appearances in all competitions for the Saints. Before that he had a temporary spell with Vitesse in Netherlands, having come through the ranks of the academy at Chelsea.
Southampton are also interested in signing Broja on a permanent deal, though there have been reports that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants him to stay put for the upcoming pre-season.
As for the Hammers, manager David Moyes is said to be anxious to increase the depth of the squad at his disposal for 2022/23, with his team set to feature in the Europa Conference League next season after a relatively successful run in the Europa League the previous term. They’ve already added defender Nayef Aguerd to their ranks, and they’re said to be working on a permanent deal for goalkeeper Alfonse Areola, having had him on loan from Paris Saint-Germain before.
