France Football reports that West Ham are set to launch an assault on Marseille striker Loic Remy.
Even if the French club hope to keep hold of the star striker until the end of the season, the player’s desire to move to English Premier League could see him leave the club in January.
According to France Football, West Ham are ready to offer striker Modibo Maiga plus cash in exchange for Remy.
The Hammers boss Sam Allardyce recently watched the France international and is keen to add the player to his squad in the winter.
Modibo Maiga, on the other hand, hasn’t really impressed since joining the club in a €7 million deal from Sochaux, having scored just 2 goals in 12 Premier League appearances.
Marseille have long been following the Malian striker and they could jump at the opportunity to exchange Remy for Maiga and improve their financial situation in the process.
