France Football understands that West Ham and Paris Saint-Germain are locked in the battle for Lille full-back Djibril Sidibe.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of France’s leading left-backs and he was even named on the reserve list for the Euro 2016 finals.
Sidibe has been the subject of heavy interest from top European clubs and it is believed that Lille chairman Michel Seydoux would consider offers in the region of €15 million.
Even though the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Monaco and Lyon are also keen on his services, the latest reports suggest that PSG and West Ham are the only serious contenders at the moment.
The Saints see Sidibe as a perfect long-term successor to Maxwell and are ready to offer around €18 million for the talented footballer.
Meanwhile, West Ham are prepared to match said bid and offer the defender a yearly wage of €3 million.
