West Ham pushing for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard

West Ham United are interested in signing Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Star. It has been reported that the Hammers are pushing to bring the French striker to the London Stadium in the final days of the window.

The Hammers are on the hunt for a new striker following the departure of Sebastian Haller to Ajax early this month. Michail Antonio is playing upfront for David Moyes’s side, but the former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest star is a winger by trade.

Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the Celtic team. However, with the Hoops unlikely to beat bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers to the title this season, they could be open to big offers for the 23-year-old, who has scored seven goals and provided two assists in the league for Neil Lennon’s side so far this season, according to WhoScored.
