West Ham co-owner David Sullivan have put a £16.5million price tag on striker Carlton Cole.
Darren Bent joined Sunderland in a £16.5million deal and Sullivan believes Cole is worth just as much.
Sullivan said: “If Darren Bent is worth £16.5m then so is he.
“Bent has proved he’s worth every penny. They are like for like and worth the same.”
Stoke City are among the clubs who have been linked with the striker, but Cole is reportedly happy in London and is keen to become a future at Avram Grant’s West Ham.
