West Ham United are closing in on a surprise deal for Liverpool forward Liverpool forward Fabio Borini, according to the Metro.
The Italian forward moved to Anfield in the summer of 2012, but has so far racked up just fifteen starts for the Merseyside club in all competitions, while he has scored just three times.
He began his career with Chelsea, before moving to Swansea City on loan in 2011 and helping them to promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
A loan spell with Roma followed before he signed for Liverpool while internationally, he has one senior cap for his country.
New Hammers’ boss Slaven Bilic has already been busy in the transfer market having wrapped up deals for Dimitri Payet and Pedro Obiang.
The East London club’s season begins on Thursday when they host Andorran side Lusitanos in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier, and the home win can be backed at 1/100.
