There is obviously something between West Ham United and goalkeepers. It looks like the Hammers are obsessed with signing new goalkeepers, both when they do and when they do not need them. Now another keeper might be coming to the London club, as West Ham have reportedly launched a seven million pound bid for Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.
According to the Football Insider, the Hammers have set their sights on the 29-year-old. They are reporting that the Premier League side has doubts over the fitness of their primary target Darren Randolph. It was first expected that Randolph would be the one making the move to West Ham from Middlesbrough, but now it is set to be called off.
Etheridge has featured in 16 Championship matches for Cardiff this season and he could be returning to top flight, after his Cardiff side got relegated last season in their first campaign back in the Premier League.
