Lokomotiv Moscow striker Felipe Caicedo is ready to quit Russia in the January transfer window, according to the player’s official representative.
The Russian giants may be enjoying their best start to a league campaign in recent years, but the Ecuadorian striker has done little to contribute.
Having started just three league matches this season, the 25-year-old has decided to look for a new challenge and is set to leave in the winter transfer window.
Caicedo’s agent Jose Chamorro has suggested that his client has been the subject of interest from top European clubs.
“Caicedo has long ago caught the eye of a number of European clubs with his performances,” Chamorro told Ivestia.
“It wouldn’t make sense to name any interested sides, but teams from top European leagues wouldn’t mind seeing Caicedo in their ranks.”
Izvestia has learned that West Ham, Espanyol and Lazio are all showing interest in the forward who has a year and a half left on his current deal at Lokomotiv.
Prior to joining the Russian giants, Caicedo has featured for FC Basel, Manchester City, Sporting Lisbon, Malaga and Levante. He has also scored 15 goals in 45 matches for Ecuador.
