Premier League high flyers West Ham are hot on the trail of AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, La Gazzetta dello Sport can reveal.
The Hammers are still very much in the Premiership top 4 chase and they can be backed at 11/2 to secure Champions League qualification.
Despite seeing his team overachieve this term, manager Slaven Bilic is eager to further reinforce the squad in the summer and the latest reports suggest that he wants former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to lead the attack.
The Bosnian has had mixed success since joining AS Roma, and he is not entirely happy with his status under new coach Luciano Spalletti.
As a result, he is ready to consider returning to English Premier League in the summer, with West Ham pondering a €17 million bid for his services.
Edin Dzeko, 30, has made a total of 25 Serie A appearances this season, scoring 7 goals in the process.
