West Ham to block Quina’s Barcelona switch?

According to Sky Sports, West Ham United are interested in offering a new contract to Domingos Quina after he helped to guide Portugal to U19 European Championship glory. The teenage sensation has been considered a hot prospect for quite some time now, but his performances during this tournament have taken him to a whole new level – and a series of clubs have taken notice.

Manchester United were once said to be interested in signing Quina, but most recently, Spanish giants Barcelona have been sniffing around with reports suggesting that they were going to make an approach for him. In the wake of that, however, the Hammers seem to have realised what a promising prospect they’ve got on their hands – which could lead to him remaining in East London for the foreseeable future.

West Ham will be kicking off their Premier League campaign on August 12th when they take on Liverpool.
