West Ham United are to offer Ravel Morrison a lucrative new contract in January, the Mirror understands.
The 20 year old scored one of the goals of the season so far to round of an impressive team performance that saw the Hammers beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
That was the former Manchester United man’s second goal in six Premier League games, and while he has eighteen months remaining on his current deal, manager Sam Allardyce is keen to secure his services beyond the summer of 2015.
He is currently on an incentive-based structure, which escalates based on the number of appearances he makes, and his weekly wage could rise to £65,000 if he continues to excel.
Having failed to breakthrough at Manchester United, Morrison was sold to West Ham last January, before being sent on loan to Birmingham City for the entirety of last season.
