Sky Sport reports that West Ham have reached an agreement to sign Cruzeiro striker Wellington Paulista.
The Brazilian has already passed a medical at Boleyn Ground and is set to put pen to paper to a six-month loan deal.
He will be officially presented to the media later today and should be in the squad for weekend’s clash against Sunderland.
Paulista is thus set to become club’s third signing of the transfer window, after Joe Cole arrived on a free transfer and Marouane Chamakh signed a six-month loan.
Wellington Paulista has spent last three and a half years at Cruzeiro, having joined the club from Botafogo.
He has made a total of 128 league appearances for the club and went on to score 55 goals.
Wellington was especially impressive in 2012, netting 21 times in 38 league matches, while also bagging 3 goals in 4 Copa do Brazil fixtures.
