West Ham United and Southampton are interested in Jovane Cabral, according to A Bola, as relayed by Sport Witness. It has been reported that West Ham made a bid for the winger in the summer of 2020 and are still monitoring the Sporting Lisbon youngster, and so are Southampton.
The report in the Portuguese publication has claimed that Cabral has a release clause of €40 million. Sporting are holding a new round of talks over a new contract for the 22-year-old, but it could take a while for an agreement to be reached between the two parties.
According to WhoScored, Cabral has made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Portuguese league for Sporting so far this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process. The 22-year-old Cape Verde international winger has also played once in the Europa League for Sporting, according to WhoScored.
