West Ham United eye Bournemouth defender Steve Cook

West Ham United are interested in signing Steve Cook from Bournemouth before the summer transfer window in England closes on October 16, according to The Daily Star. The report has claimed that the Premier League club are also looking at Watford centre-back Craig Dawson, as they aim to sign a player for that position.

The Hammers were keen on signing Fikayo Tomori from Premier League rivals Chelsea and had a loan deal agreed with their London rivals, according to the report. However, the centre-back decided to pull the plug on the deal just minutes before the window slammed shut on Monday.

West Ham have won their last two Premier League games after losing their opening two matches. David Moyes’s side are 10th in the league table at the moment with six points from four matches. The Hammers will take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on October 18.
