West Ham United are interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. Nketiah is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, and London and Premier League rivals West Ham want to secure the services of the former Leeds United loanee.
The Hammers, though, will have to pay a compensation fee to Arsenal, as Nketiah is younger than 24. However, that is unlikely to be as much if the 22-year-old striker were under contract at the Gunners beyond the end of the season.
Nketiah has made 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season. The striker also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup this campaign, scoring five goals in the process.
