West Ham United are interested in signing James Ward-Prowse from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that the Hammers could find it tough to get a deal done as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also keen on the England international.
Ward-Prowse has scored seven goals and given two assists in34 Premier League matches for Southampton this season. During the 2020-21 campaign, the 28-year-old scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 36 league games for the Saints.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 34 matches, just four points above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Southampton currently find themselves at the foot of the standings with 24 points from 34 games.
