West Ham United are interested in signing Ivan Toney from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has noted that West Ham are on the hunt for a new striker, and that Toney is on the radar of the Hammers.
Toney is one of the better strikers in the Premier League and has done well for Brentford in the division. The former Newcastle United prospect has scored 36 goals and given 11 assists in 85 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
West Ham, though, will face competition for Toney. Football Transfers have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the 28-year-old England international striker, adding that the North London club plan to make a bid of £40 million for him. Toney scored four goals and gave two assists I 16 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Bees last season.
