West Ham United are interested in signing Alex Iwobi from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that the Hammers has registered interest in former Arsenal player Iwobi.
Iwobi has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2019 when he joined from Premier League rivals Arsenal. The 27-year-old is under contract at the Merseyside club until the summer of 2024. The Nigerian star made 38 appearances in the Premier League for Everton last season. He scored two goals and gave seven assists in those games.
Everton struggled last season and almost got relegated to the Championship. While West Ham were also in danger of going down from the Premier League, the Hammers did win the UEFA Europa Conference League and will play in the UEFA Europa League next season.
