West Ham United are interested in signing Denis Zakaria from Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that West Ham have asked for information on a deal to bring the defensive midfielder to London Stadium this summer.
Romano has claimed that West Ham are not the only clubs who are showing interest in Zakaria. A number of other teams are also in the race for the 26-year-old. Juventus do not have any plans for the Switzerland for next season and are willing to offload him.
Zakaria spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Chelsea form Juventus. The 26-year-old struggled to make an impact whatsoever, and the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners decided not to make his loan deal permanent. Zaharia made five starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and made one start and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea last season.
