West Ham United are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Breel Embolo in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. It has been reported that the Hammers have have enquired about the availability of the 24-year-old Switzerland international.
The Hammers are wiling to spend £30 million on a new forward this summer. However, West Ham are also open to signing Embolo, and German club Monchengladbach themselves could allow the 24-year-old to leave on loan for the 2021-22 campaign.
Embolo made 16 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for West Ham last season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process. The Switzerland international also scored one goal in seven Champions League appearances in 2020-21. The 24-year-old scored one goal in five Euro 2020 games for Switzerland this summer.
