West Ham United are interested in signing Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian. The report has claimed that the Hammers have made a bid of £25 million for the attacking midfielder, but it has been rejected.
Portuguese giants Sporting are willing to sell Nunes in the summer transfer window, but they want at least £42 million in transfer fees. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has a release clause of £51 million in his contract at Sporting.
Nunes has given one assist in one Portuguese league appearance so far this season. The 23-year-old Portuguese star scored three goals and provided two assists in 31 league starts last season. It will be interesting to see if the Hammers return for the youngster with a second and improved bid.
