West Ham United are interested in signing Slavia Prague goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic. It has been reported that the Hammers are looking at the 26-year-old as a potential heir to Lukasz Fabianski.
Fabianski has been on the books of West Ham since 2018 and has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the London club. The Poland international, though, is 35 years of age, and the Hammers do need to start thinking about finding someone to succeed him in the long run. Kolar has been at Prague since 2018 and has experience of playing in the Champions League.
West Ham are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from 16 matches. David Moyes’s side will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the league.
