West Ham United attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta wants to join Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Paqueta has verbally agreed personal terms with City, who won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League last season.
The report has claimed that City have already made a bid of £70 million for Paqueta. West Ham, who won the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, have turned it down. However, the Citizens plan to bid again and are confident of getting a deal done for the 25-year-old playmaker.
Paqueta joined West Ham from Lyon in the summer of 2022. The Brazil international made 27 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for West Ham last season. The playmaker scored four goals and gave three assists in those games. It will be interesting to see how much West Ham decide to sell the attacking midfielder for, if indeed they sell him this summer.
