West Ham United could struggle to keep hold of Mohammed Kudus beyond the end of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) have set their sights on a deal for Kudus.
TEAMtalk has reported that PIF officials made contact with Kudus’s entourage a few weeks ago to find out whether he would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia. The 23-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, told the Saudis that he would prefer to stay at West Ham next season.
However, contact between the Saudis and Kudus’s agent have continued. The 23-year-old Ghana international star has been offered €13m (£11m) per season. The former Ajax star has yet to respond to the offer. Kudus scored eight goals and gave six assists in 27 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League and scored five goals in nine UEFA Europa League games for West Ham last season.
