West Ham United are interested in signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian. La Liga giants Barcelona have to sell players in order to ease their financial problems, and one of the players they are willing to offload is Depay
Depay moved to Barcelona on a free transfer last summer after leaving French club Lyon. The former Manchester United forward made 20 starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga for Barca last season, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists in the process.
The Netherlands international forward also made six appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Barcelona last season. In the Europa League, Deay made one start and two substitute appearances for Xavi’s side, scoring one goal in the process. West Ham could do with a new forward in their attacking unit, and it will be interesting to see if they are able to bring Depay to London Stadium.
