West Ham United are interested in signing Yangel Herrera from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that Premier League champions City are willing to sell the midfielder for £20 million, and that London club West Ham want to secure his services.
Herrera has been on the books of City since 2017, but the Venezuela international has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for Pep Guardiola’s side. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has been out on loan at New York City, Huesca and Granada in recent seasons.
It us unlikely that Herrera will be able to establish himself in the City first team. It would make sense for the 23-year-old to leave the Citizens on a permanent basis and find a club which he can call home and gets some stability.
