West Ham United want to sign Ian Maatsen from Chelsea

West Ham United are interested in signing Ian Maatsen from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Maatsen is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season, and that West Ham are monitoring the situation and could make a bid for the 21-year-old left-back in January.

The Hammers, though, are not the only club who are keen on Maatsen. TEAMtalk has reported that Manchester City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are also interested in Maatsen, who can also play as a winger. Chelsea are trying to convince Maatsen to sign a new deal.

West Ham are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from eight matches, six points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Chelsea currently find themselves 11th in the standings with 11 points from eight games.
