West Ham United are interested in signing Jack Clarke from Sunderland in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that West Ham manager David Moyes want to bring in a new winger, and that former Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur player Clarke is on his radar.
Clarke failed to make a huge impact at Tottenham after moving from Leeds, but the 23-year-old has been superb for Sunderland. The winger has scored 12 goals and given two assists in 26 Championship matches for the Black Cats so far this season. He scored nine goals and gave 12 assists in 47 Championship starts last season.
West Ham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 20 matches, six points behind London rivals and fourth-placed Arsenal. Meanwhile, Sunderland currently find themselves sixth in the Championship table with 40 points from 26 games.
