West Ham United are interested in signing James McAtee from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Crystal Palace are also keen on a loan deal for McAtee.
GiveMeSport has reported that London rivals West Ham and Palace are “desperate” to hold talks over a loan deal for McAtee and are now increasingly hopeful that defending Premier League champions City will agree to send the midfielder out on loan for the second half of the season.
McAtee is struggling for playing time at City, who have been linked with Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. The 22-year-old English midfielder has played just one minute in the Premier League and only 73 minutes in the UEFA Champions League so far this season. Palace are level on points with third-from-bottom Wolverhampton Wanderers in 17th place in the Premier League table at the moment, while West Ham are currently six points above the relegation zone in 14th.
