West Ham United are interested in signing Anthony Martial from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT. The report has claimed that the Hammers have made contact with the Red Devils and that talks over a deal are at an early stage.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag may not be too keen on letting Martial leave this summer. The Dutchman wants to have options in attack as a number 9. West Ham have asked to be kept informed on the situation of the French striker.
Martial is a versatile attacker who can play out wide or as a central striker. Much was expected of the striker when he joined Manchester United, but he has not been a massive success at Old Trafford. Martial has made 196 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, scoring 62 goals and giving 28 assists in the process.
