West Ham United are interested in signing former Chelsea defender Ola Aina in the summer transfer window, according to BSNSports.com.ng. Aina is out of contract at Torino this summer, and the Hammers are keen on securing the services of the Nigeria international on a free transfer.
The Hammers are looking at Aina as a potential replacement for Nayef Aguerd. The report has claimed that Morocco international is set to leave West Ham, who won the UEFA Europa Conference League this season and also avoid the dreaded drop from the Premier League to the Championship.
Last season, Aina made nine starts and 10 substitute appearances in Serie A for Torino, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. The 26-year-old made 17 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Turon club in the 2021-22 campaign. Torino finished 10th in the Serie A table last season with 53 points from 38 matches.
