West Ham United want to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea

West Ham United are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are also keen the 23-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder.

Chelsea, though, do not want to sell Chalobah, who played mainly as a central defender last season. The Blues do not want to get short of players at the back during a campaign when they will be aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.

Chalobah made 18 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea last season. The 23-year-old played predominately as a centre-back, but he did feature at right-back in some matches as well. It remains to be seen if the Hammers actually make a bid for Chalobah in the summer transfer window.
