West Ham United will not sack Julen Lopetegui anytime soon, according to The Guardian. The Hammers are struggling at the moment, with many fans of the London club not happy with Lopetegui, but the Premier League outfit do not plan to get rid of the former Real Madrid boss right now.
The Guardian has noted that the West Ham board “do not have a history of making knee-jerk decisions and there is a recognition that the Spaniard is attempting to implement a new style of play while he beds in 10 summer signings”. The Hammers’ chiefs, rhough, do have a “deep concern about early results under Lopetegui, who is under pressure before the home game against Manchester United this Sunday, and his position could be reviewed if there is no improvement before Christmas”.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with eight points from eight matches. The Hammers are only five points above the relegation zone.
